Our Story did not start out the same way as your traditional painting company. JStar Services Started out in the moving industry, we where a white glove specialty service for high end moving companies. We would come in before the movers and deal with specialty items. We would be responsible for items like grandfather clocks and pianos. we would come in disassemble, protect, and service these items. then after we serviced, wrapped, and padded we would construct and build wooden crates that the movers could load in their trucks. we build wooden crates for crystal chandeliers, for paintings, taxidermy, marble, glass, and all kinds of other fragile items. We also fixed things the movers damaged while moving the customers stuff. We would fix damaged furniture or even the house. We were always complimented on our customer service. There came a time where we started leaving cards with all our satisfied customers and let them know we would help them with anything if if they needed it. At this time we started noticing the demand for painting. It seemed like every person that moved into a new house had an interest to paint. We started bouncing the idea around of transferring into the field of painting. Next thing you know we had our schedule filled with painting jobs. We started this journey with five core values in mind. (1) Gain and maintain trust. (2) Constant improvement. (3) Quality always wins. (4) Discipline equals freedom. (5) Produce. We were able to transition seamlessly into painting and haven’t looked back since. Our over the top customer service has gotten us to where we are today. Yes we are good painters, but painting is the easy part. My name is Jake Starlings and I grew up in Olympia Washington and went to school in the Olympia school district. I was raised on 16 acres in the capital forest riding dirt bikes, hiking, camping, fishing, and spending as much time in the woods as humanly possible. My father always told me to work hard and have a good attitude and the rest will happen on its own. I took that with my interest in the construction trade and turned it into JStar Services. I enjoy delivering quality work and top notch customer service. In my company I base a lot of my business on repeat and referred customers. When I book a job, I treat my customer as a friend not just a client. My goal is to build a loyal and a lasting relationship with each and everyone of my customers.
